Hi, I'm Daniel Clement, and I'm a physical therapist. Here at Clement Physical Therapy, our goal is to help you achieve your goals! Whether it's training for an upcoming race, a dance competition or to bend down and pick up your kids, we're here to help.

Our sessions are one-on-one with a physical therapist. We value your time and believe this is the best way to work together as a team.

PHYSICAL THERAPY SERVICES

We treat a large variety of orthopaedic conditions including sprains (ligament injury), strains (muscle injury), joint-related disorders (such as arthritis), pre- and post-operative conditions, and more. We treat acute and chronic pain conditions of the spine and extremities.

Manual therapy

Hands-on techniques including soft tissue work and joint mobilization/manipulation. This can help relax muscles, decrease pain and muscle spasm, and correct joint mechanics. Manual therapy can be helpful for a wide range of conditions including neck pain, low back pain, hip, knee and ankle pain, wrist, elbow and shoulder pain.

Strengthening

Muscle strength can be affected by injury or strain. Your physical therapist will assess the strength of the affected muscle groups to outline a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Common conditions that require strengthening include muscle strains, joint sprains, whiplash, low back strain, rotator cuff strain, ankle sprain, among others.

Balance training

Benefits of balance training include improved static and dynamic balance, quicker reaction times, improved function with tasks outside your base of support (e.g reaching), and a reduced risk of falls.
Based on your assessment, we will target the areas that can be improved by practicing on different surfaces, working outside your base of support, and training without visual feedback.
Who should train their balance?
Common conditions that may warrant balance training include ligament sprains (e.g. rolling your ankle), post-surgery or a period of immobilization, head injuries, neurological conditions, and the elderly population, especially those with a fall risk or history of falls.

Pain relief

We treat acute and chronic pain conditions. Your physical therapist will assess the region that is affecting you, as well as the surrounding joints to get a bigger picture of what is contributing to your condition. We will assess your range of motion, strength and mobility and treat those areas with a combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.

Functional training

Functional training helps to prepare your body for the activities you would like to return to. This requires a whole body approach, so your physical therapist will assess the muscles and joints, as well as your functional movements. This may include squatting, stair climbing, gait, reaching, and lifting, among others. Following the assessment, your therapist will tailor a series of exercises for you that mimic the movements or activities we will be training. These exercises will then become progressively more challenging to improve balance, coordination, and strength, until you achieve your functional goal.

Mobility

Loss of range of motion could stem from a number of injuries or conditions, including muscle strains or joint sprains, or after surgery. Your physical therapist will assess your range of motion including joint movement, and muscle length, to determine specific exercises that will target the appropriate areas. Treatment may include passive stretching (by your therapist), and static or dynamic stretching by the patient. Your therapist will also include a home exercise program so you can maintain the gains achieved in the clinic.

We accept Medicare, Tricare, Triwest, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare and Blue Shield PPO plans, some Aetna HMO plans, and we are out of network for all other insurances. We can verify your insurance plan to see if they offer out of network benefits. We also offer self-pay options.
